Maxine's Coffee is seeking enthusiastic individuals to fill the role of Barista. The ideal candidate will possess a friendly demeanor, a passion for customer interaction, and a strong background in the food and beverage sector. Weekend availability is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drink Preparation: Craft and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee, espresso, and tea, while accurately customizing orders to meet customer preferences. Build rapport by remembering regular customers' names and their favorite drinks.
  • Customer Engagement: Actively engage with customers by providing detailed product information and addressing any inquiries, including dietary restrictions or allergies. Share insights about the menu and coffee beans.
  • Quality Assurance: Regularly sample and evaluate coffee throughout the day to ensure optimal flavor. Adjust espresso settings as needed during each shift.
  • Sanitation and Organization: Ensure all workstations are adequately stocked with necessary supplies. Maintain cleanliness by sanitizing work areas and customer seating zones.
  • Team Collaboration: Demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt by being open to feedback and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of safe food handling procedures and sanitation standards.
  • Capability to serve customers promptly and courteously.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, as well as bend, lift, and reach overhead.
  • Availability to work on weekends.
