Nurse Care Specialist

Avera is seeking Registered Nurses (RN) to deliver exceptional nursing care in our patient-focused settings. Our team is built on teamwork, compassion, and a commitment to Moving Health Forward for our patients and communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Care for critically and chronically ill patients, creating a supportive environment.
- Educate patients about treatment options, procedures, and disease particulars.
- Assess patient physical and emotional conditions, medical history, health habits, and practices, documenting in patient medical records.
- Triage patient problems and assist in symptom evaluation and intervention initiation as ordered by physicians or nurse practitioners.
- Administer medications as ordered, using correct medication, dosage, route, time, and technique.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Current license from the State of South Dakota Board of Nursing.
- CPR certification required.
- OCN and ACLS certifications preferred.
