Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Yard Associate to join our team at R.P. Lumber Co. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a safe and clean work environment, and participating in delivery operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide prompt and courteous service to customers and professional contractors.
  • Load and unload materials, including merchandise and equipment, while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Operate a forklift to merchandise and stock the yard and warehouse.
  • Build loads and prepare materials for delivery, ensuring timely and efficient transportation.
  • Assist truck drivers with delivery of merchandise to homeowners and job sites.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide follow-up support as needed.
  • Maintain inventory, product displays, and pricing labels within assigned areas, adhering to merchandising standards.
  • Enforce all safety rules and policies, promoting a culture of safety and accountability.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; prior related work experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds, with frequent bending, reaching, and standing.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays.
