Nurse Practitioner Job Description

Penn State Health is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and services to a specific patient population across the continuum of healthcare.

Responsibilities:
  • Utilize the nursing process to provide expert care and services to patients
  • Practice within the scope of responsibilities and prescriptive authority defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and the Medical Staff Executive at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of patients
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health and wellness
Requirements:
  • Masters Degree in Nursing with clinical specialization required
  • Two (2) years' work experience as a RN required
  • Current licensed to practice as a CRNP by Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification as an NP in the area of practice specialization is preferred
