Application Developer

Join the team at Penn State University as an Application Developer - Business Intelligence. This role is responsible for designing and developing business intelligence (BI) applications and architecture. The successful candidate will have experience with data analysis, expression (DAX), and Power BI.
Responsibilities:- Analyze and present data to aid in decision-making, identifying and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Customize data models to best fit user needs.
- Build and maintain PowerBI dashboards using advanced data modeling.
- Design, code, test, debug, implement, modify, and maintain new or existing applications.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and domain experts to gain operational insights and ensure data accuracy.
- Communicate with stakeholders to define deliverables, timelines, and responsibilities.
- Integrate reports into other applications using embedded services or API automation.
- Educate and support users on self-service data solutions.
- Relevant experience, skills, and familiarity in data analysis, expression (DAX), and Power BI.
- Strong understanding and experience of Power BI application layer models.
- Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and managing complex reports and dashboards.
- Proficient in information systems and analytical and problem-solving skills.
