Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Technician

Barfield Inc is seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our team at one of our six facilities located near major airports in North, Central, and South America.

The successful candidate will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating electrical and mechanical units using schematics diagrams, Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM), and other documents.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Inspecting and testing electrical and mechanical aircraft units to identify defects and wear and tear areas.
  • Disassembling, cleaning, and inspecting aircraft components.
  • Repairing or replacing damaged or worn components.
  • Reassembling and testing electrical and mechanical units to ensure proper operation.

Requirements and Skills:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Successfully completed technical training by a certifying educational institution or 1-2 years of bench experience in the field or related area.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret directions of appropriate maintenance manuals.
  • Knowledge and experience with mechanical tools, multimeters, micrometers, calipers, measuring indicators, and gauges.
