This role serves as a key point of contact for patients arriving at Emory facilities for clinical appointments, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming and checking in patients for appointments
  • Communicating with patients, families, and staff to troubleshoot and meet patient needs
  • Following standard operating procedures to complete technical and administrative functions, including registration, insurance updates, and scheduling
  • Providing information about insurance coverage and collecting copays

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED preferred and 12 months of experience in healthcare or customer service, or currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor's degree program
  • Ability to work with patients, families, providers, and clinical and non-clinical staff

Work Environment:

This role requires occasional to frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, and close eye work. Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and tasks.
