We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at the Department of State Hospitals - Patton. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our pharmacy services.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the operation of the facility pharmacy, maintaining accurate records and inventory levels.
- Verify goods received against purchase orders, invoices, and requisitions.
- Segregate, label, and store pharmaceutical supplies in a secure and organized manner.
- Review pharmacy stock for expired drugs and implement disposal procedures as necessary.
- Operate packaging machinery for unit dose or prepackaged dispensing systems.
- Prepare unit dose cassettes for review by pharmacists and fill medication drawers with prescribed doses.
- Aid pharmacists in the preparation of prescriptions and perform other service and technical pharmacy work as required.
- Possession of a valid certificate of registration as a Pharmacy Technician issued by the State Board of Pharmacy.
- Completion of an academic curriculum and formal on-the-job training program for Pharmacy Technician.
