Job Summary

The State of California is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at the Department of State Hospitals - Patton. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting the pharmacy operations, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the operation of the facility pharmacy, maintaining accurate records and inventory levels.
  • Verify goods received against purchase orders, invoices, and requisitions.
  • Segregate, label, and store pharmaceutical supplies.
  • Review pharmacy stock for expired drugs and maintain patient medication profiles.
  • Aid the pharmacist in the preparation of prescriptions and perform other technical pharmacy work.
Requirements
  • Possession of a valid certificate of registration as a Pharmacy Technician issued by the State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Completion of an academic curriculum and formal on-the-job training program for Pharmacy Technician.
