Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Highmark Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide general nursing care to patients, including administering medications, collecting vital signs, and documenting patient information.
  • Assist with the preparation of equipment and assist the physician/clinical provider during treatment, examination, and testing of patients.
  • Collect assessment data, prepare patients for examination, and document clinical information on patient records.
  • Order diagnostic tests as directed by a registered nurse or physician/clinical provider and gather diagnostic test results prior to physician/clinical provider assessment.
  • Schedule procedures and obtain authorizations as necessary.
  • May give injections or medication, collect blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens, and prepare them for testing.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Current state licensure as an LPN or current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
  • CPR - American Heart Association.
  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year healthcare experience.
  • State-approved IV course certification.
  • Knowledge of OASIS documentation and assessment process.
  • PALS or ACLS may be required based on the specific area of practice.
