Job Summary

Veolia is seeking a skilled Waste Transportation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely transporting hazardous and non-hazardous materials from customer sites to designated locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance: Perform daily inspections of vehicles and trailers to ensure safety and integrity of equipment.
  • Shipment Review and Verification: Review shipment records, manifests, container labeling, and vehicle placards to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all DOT, EPA, state, and local regulations are met, including load weight limits, driver log books, and transportation permits.
  • Customer Communication: Consult with customers regarding load conditions, drum counts, and paperwork inconsistencies to ensure smooth transportation.
  • Accident Reporting: Notify immediate supervisors of any moving violations or accidents during transportation.
  • Housekeeping and Other Duties: Assist with loading and unloading materials, and perform other duties as assigned.
