Echo/Vascular Technologist
On-Call Duties:
Yes, with night and weekend on-call responsibilities. Call rotation is managed among the technologists weekly, from Thursday to Thursday. Weeknight on-call hours are from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM, while weekend hours are from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. If the technologist holds dual registration in echo and vascular, they will be the sole on-call personnel.
In other cases, the on-call duty will be shared between an echo technologist and a vascular technologist.
Contract Duration:
13 weeks
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years in Echo: including Bubble Study, Contrast Agents, M-Mode, RIT/RVOT
- Vascular: Proficient in Doppler Studies, Peripheral Vascular, Transcranial Doppler, Upper/Lower Extremity Venous, Upper/Lower Extremity Arterial, Renal Artery Duplex
- Ultrasound: Vascular
- Carotid, Vascular Arterial Work Environment: Outpatient, Inpatient, ERPending License accepted: Compact accepted at time of submission but must have AK license prior to commencement for Acute specialties
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CERNER 3D Echo, Pharmacological Stress Echos, TEE, Treadmill Stress Echos
- Vascular: Knowledge in Arterial Mapping/Graft Studies, M-Mode
- Work Environment: Level I Trauma, Teaching Hospital
- General Skills: IV Starts, PACS, PortablesAdditional information about the unit:
- Unit welcomes first-time travelers
- Scrubs of any color are permitted
Certification Expectations:
BLS, RDCS-Adult is mandatory.
Willingness to obtain RVT certification prior to start date is required.
