Job Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of manufacturing processes, maintaining high-quality products, and meeting production targets. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to manage a team of approximately 30 employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement production plans to meet business objectives, ensuring timely deployment of personnel and resources.
  • Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and environmental regulations.
  • Lead a team of production staff, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities to enhance their skills and competencies.
  • Monitor and control production processes, identifying and addressing any quality or safety issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality, engineering, and maintenance, to ensure seamless operations and continuous improvement.
  • Manage inventory, supplies, and equipment, ensuring optimal utilization and minimizing waste.
  • Develop and implement action plans to address root causes of failures and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of production data, including quality metrics, production volumes, and inventory levels.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as manufacturing, engineering, or business, and 2 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • OR 5 years of supervisory/management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • OR 2 years in a leadership role in the United States Military.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in food processing or packaging.
  • Experience in Supply Chain and/or Inventory Control.
  • Experience in Quality and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMPs) in a food processing environment.
  • 1 year of experience in Continuous Improvement environment (Lean manufacturing or Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) preferred).
Skills
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a safe working environment through proper housekeeping and safety practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
