Electrical Project Lead

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading electrical engineering projects from concept to completion. Your expertise in electrical systems and project management will be essential in ensuring the successful delivery of our state-of-the-art passenger trains.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Technical Project Manager to achieve all customer technical requirements
  • Own the responsibility to lead assigned sub-project tasks
  • Effectively delegate, schedule, and monitor progress of all electrical engineering tasks on a project
  • Creation of technical specifications, production documentation, and testing protocols
  • Coordinating supply chain for project-related mock-ups internally as well as externally
  • Create, review, and release wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and other engineering documentation
  • Consult with engineering and manufacturing teammates to ensure that designs are feasible
  • Create designs in line with company procedure, regulations, and client standards
  • Ensure that all electrical hardware is designed correctly for proper mechanical installation
  • Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) at suppliers' sites for assigned components
  • Evaluate, manage, and process Engineering Change Requests (ECR) for assigned projects or sub-projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or a similar field
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in railway, aerospace, or similar industries (project management experience is a plus)
  • Base knowledge of energy distribution, traction systems, IT systems, and onboard network control
  • Extensive leadership experience and strong team skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Business fluent in English (German is a plus)
  • Experience in electrical/mechanical design
  • Experience with schematic software
  • Experience with PLM systems and ECN systems
  • Excellent technical writing skills (Office suite)
