Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team as a tenure-track faculty member in Computational Medicine and Genetics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The successful candidate will have a strong background in computational biology, genomics, or a related field, and a demonstrated ability to apply computational approaches to problems in cancer research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead an independent research program in computational medicine and genetics
  • Collaborate with faculty members in the Department of Genetics and the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center
  • Teach graduate-level courses in computational biology and genomics
  • Participate in team science projects initiated through the Computational Medicine Program
Requirements
  • PhD or equivalent degree in Genetics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Significant research experience applying computational approaches to problems in biomedical research
  • Strong training and experience in applying computational and quantitative approaches to problems in cancer relevant research
Preferred Qualifications
  • Postdoctoral experience in computational biology or genomics
  • Experience in teaching and mentoring graduate students
  • Strong publication record in top-tier journals
