Primary Duties:
  1. Financial Documentation:
    • Generate and uphold precise financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
    • Support the month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and processed in a timely manner.
  2. General Ledger Management:
    • Oversee and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
    • Prepare and record journal entries, ensuring appropriate documentation and adherence to accounting standards.
  3. Accounts Management:
    • Review and process invoices, expense reports, and payment requests for accuracy and compliance.
    • Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and aging analysis.
  4. Budgeting and Financial Forecasting:
    • Assist in the formulation of annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts.
    • Track budget discrepancies and provide analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  5. Regulatory Compliance and Auditing:
    • Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and applicable regulations.
    • Assist with internal and external audits, supplying necessary documentation and clarifications.
  6. Financial Insights:
    • Conduct financial analysis to aid management in strategic planning and decision-making.

  7. Specialized Projects:
    • Engage in specialized projects and initiatives as directed by management.
    • Support the rollout of new accounting systems, processes, and protocols.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA certification or progress towards CPA certification is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in property management or the real estate sector.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, QuickBooks, MRI) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
