Overview:
A leading global logistics and freight forwarding firm is seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to join our team as the Air Cargo Operations Specialist.
This position is crucial for ensuring the prompt delivery of air cargo shipments to clients by effectively managing shipping documentation, customs procedures, and transportation logistics.
Key Responsibilities Include but are not Limited to:
* Engage in clear communication with clients, customs agents, airlines, and storage facilities to facilitate seamless shipment processing.
* Generate and disseminate Arrival Notice documents via the KWE system.
* Oversee the timely transfer of shipments from the airport to client destinations.
* Supervise and optimize trucking expenses.
* Accurately enter data into the KWE system.
* Handle inventory and damage reports from storage facilities.
* Prepare shipping labels for FedEx and UPS as necessary.
Qualifications:
* Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
* High typing speed and accuracy.
* Ability to quickly adapt to new systems and processes.
* Readiness to work overtime and weekends as required.
