The Operating Room Nurse II is a professional nurse who, with minimal supervision, assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the nursing care of surgical patients and their families when appropriate, who come to the Operating Room for a surgical procedure.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and plan the nursing care of surgical patients, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
- Implement and evaluate the nursing care plan, ensuring that patients receive high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient operating room operations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest surgical techniques, technologies, and best practices to provide evidence-based care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Minimum of 5 years of recent operating room nursing experience, or BSN with 2 years of recent operating room nursing experience, or MSN with 1 year of recent operating room nursing experience.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current Alabama registered nurse license.
