Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Logistics Support Specialist in Rochester, NY.
This full-time, long-term contract role is essential to our production and shipping processes. The successful candidate will work on the B Shift (2:00pm - 10:30pm EST) with initial training scheduled on A Shift (6:00am - 2:30pm) for the first 4-6 weeks.
Your responsibilities will include managing parts for production and shipments while ensuring operational efficiency and maintaining a tidy workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute tasks according to detailed work instructions.
- Oversee production logistics, including data management within production systems.
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of work areas.
- Prepare materials for operational and logistical activities.
- Interface with plant systems for documentation and manufacturing execution.
- Maintain accurate records and facilitate effective communication within the team.
Qualifications:
- 1-2+ years of relevant experience, ideally in a transferable field such as shipping and warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with SAP is a plus but not a requirement.
Minimum Requirement:
High School Diploma or GED.
If you possess the logistical skills necessary to contribute to our production process, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.
Compensation: $18-19/hr.
