Electrical Lineworker

ASARCO LLC is seeking a skilled Lineman to join our team at the Ray Mine in Kearny, AZ.

The Lineman will be responsible for installing and maintaining cables and wires used to supply electrical power throughout the Ray mine. This is a critical role that requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to safety protocols.

• Attend morning meetings to receive job assignments and discuss safety protocols.
• Operate a pick-up truck to transport equipment and personnel to designated work areas.
• Conduct tailgate meetings to review work goals and safety hazards.
• Dig holes using a backhoe loader and hoist electrical poles upright into holes.
• Prepare poles for wire installation and pull wire through by hand or with a winch.
• Repair defective power cables and auxiliary equipment for power lines.
• Measure voltage using electronic test equipment and monitor shovel box ground voltage.
• Complete ground sheet reports upon completion of work assignments.
• Climb up and down poles with climbing gear.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience as a Lineman.
• MSHA certification a plus.
