Job Summary

Higginbotham Brothers, a leading provider of building materials, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate I to join our team. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for receiving, stocking, shipping, and counting inventory items in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Safely: Ensure a safe working environment by following established safety procedures and protocols.
  • Participate in a Positive Work Environment: Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by assisting warehouse associates and direct supervisors in maintaining an organized workspace.
  • Assist Warehouse Operations: Receive incoming products, commodities, and materials, and stock them in designated areas.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service by responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Count and Record Receipts: Accurately count and record the receipt of materials, ensuring accurate inventory levels.
  • Stock and Organize Inventory: Stock all material received in designated bins or storage locations, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Assist Inventory Control: Assist in counting and organizing warehouse materials, ensuring accurate inventory levels.
  • Comply with Company Policies: Adhere to all company policies and guidelines, including safety procedures and protocols.
  • Operate Forklift and Equipment: Safely operate a forklift and other equipment as needed, including banders, power tools, and hand tools.
  • Monitor Inventory: Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Participate in Training: Participate in and complete assigned trainings to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: No experience required; will train.
  • Skills: Basic math skills, ability to read orders, write instructions, and complete forms.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, exposure to extreme temperatures, bending, stooping, regularly lifting up to 50 pounds, and frequently up to 100 pounds or more.
