Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Sentech. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and improving new or existing production processes to enhance manufacturing methods, machines, and tools. Your expertise in CNC machining and manufacturing will enable you to drive efficiency, productivity, and safety standards in our shop floor environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and develop complex improvements to manufacturing processes, material flow, equipment, production design, tools, or machines to ensure maximum manufacturing capability, increase productivity, and ensure safety standards.
  • Oversee the trial use of tools, building production samples and prototypes, and investigate new products for improved production, quality, decreased costs, and/or health and safety reasons.
  • Establish procedures for set-up, continual maintenance, safe operation of new equipment, and authorize technical support of upgrades or repairs to existing equipment.
  • Participate in the quotation process, estimating cost, equipment, and manufacturing layouts needed for new product launches and/or engineering changes to ensure profitability and plan and schedule appropriate timetables to meet production deadlines.
  • Responsibility to follow up equipment and tooling suppliers during the design, production, assembly, and testing of new equipment and tolling respecting the established standards and workflows.
  • Solicit, analyze, and negotiate quotes on capital equipment, as assigned, to ensure cost effectiveness.
  • Apply the principles of Lean Manufacturing.
  • Perform time measurement studies and set operational standards.
  • Execute and maintain the PFMEA's.
  • Ensure safety standards are respected.
  • Support regular maintenance of the relevant project data.
  • Cooperate with plants during projects realization, especially during supplier visits or customer events.
  • Support the more complex work measurement studies and line balancing for new products and improvements to current products, while developing plant-manning levels.
  • Collect and analyze graphic data on labor and production standards comparing manufacturing performance to production efficiency and cost in a continuous effort to enhance the processes.
  • Investigate and propose productivity improvements for cost reduction programs and technological advancements to maintain a competitive edge in the industry.
  • Initiate standards of quality that must be met by outside contractors and suppliers.
  • Utilize CAD system to maintain and update layout drawings.
  • Complete and perform other duties/tasks as may be assigned.
