Technical Operations Internship

About the Role:
This internship is an exciting opportunity to work with BAE Systems USA, a leading provider of advanced electronics and defense solutions. As a Technical Operations Intern, you will be part of a dynamic team that designs, manufactures, and tests cutting-edge technology for the aerospace and defense industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate test equipment to evaluate component placement and ensure quality standards are met.
• Initiate process change requests to optimize manufacturing procedures and improve efficiency.
• Review process plans and analyze cost of poor-quality data to determine better methods of data organization.
• Participate in LEAP Intern events and activities, and engage with experienced professionals on impactful projects.
Requirements:
• U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
• Candidate for a Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, and will have completed their Junior year of college prior to start of internship.
• Motivated individual with strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work independently.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent team player with project experience who is willing to contribute and learn.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
• Prior work experience in any field.
• Experience with CAD drafting and drawing.
