Position Overview

The Produce Trainer plays a vital role in overseeing the comprehensive operations of the Produce Department. This includes managing inventory levels, ensuring product availability, maintaining pricing accuracy, and executing effective merchandising strategies. The Produce Trainer is also accountable for meeting financial targets related to sales, gross profit, and labor efficiency. Additionally, this position ensures that the Produce Department Manager adheres to company protocols while guiding produce associates in following established operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess both company-wide and individual store performance through regular evaluations, data analysis, and direct engagement with team members.
  • Address issues promptly to support the goal of increasing profitable sales.
  • Suggest operational improvements based on insights from store performance, competitive landscape, and potential sales opportunities.
  • Foster the professional growth of key team members to build a capable workforce for future expansion.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train team members; manage labor scheduling in compliance with guidelines; resolve employee concerns and grievances.
  • Ensure cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and security of the department; verify that all equipment is functioning properly.
  • Engage in training and professional development as recommended by the company to prepare for potential departmental management roles.

Qualifications
