Position Summary:

The Accounting and Finance Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing and directing the General Accounting, Cost Accounting, and Budgeting functions. This position is also responsible for generating comprehensive financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, facilitating the annual business planning process, and spearheading initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity and improving processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Management of Accounting Functions: Supervise the Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Cost Accounting teams.
  2. Review and validate all accounting documentation.
  3. Oversee the monthly closing process.
  4. Conduct monthly standard costing evaluations.

Financial Reporting:

  1. Prepare monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheets, investment activity reports, and inventory analyses.
  2. Generate General Ledger (GL) account statements and analyze variances between budgeted and actual figures.
  3. Compile financial report packages on a quarterly and annual basis.

Audit Support:

  1. Assist auditors with requests for quarterly and annual audits.
  2. Address inquiries from auditors regarding audit processes.

Business Planning:

  1. Coordinate the annual business planning process in collaboration with various departments.
  2. Review departmental budgets as part of the business planning package.

Budget Management:

  1. Oversee and manage the overall company budget.
  2. Evaluate budget transfer or addition requests from other departments.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Establish company guidelines to resolve inter-departmental issues.
  2. Perform any other tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance and accounting roles.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  1. Proficient in managing projects and meeting deadlines.
  2. Ability to produce financial reports as required.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with SAP.
  2. Background in manufacturing costing.

Working Conditions: Office environment, primarily sedentary work.
