We are seeking a highly skilled GIS analyst to join our team at NV5. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of geospatial technologies and analytical methodologies. Key responsibilities include conducting field collections, designing utilities, and updating utility specific attribution associated with features.
About the Role:This position is fully remote within an engaged, virtual division at NV5. Travel up to 60% of the time is expected. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with exceptional planning, critical thinking, analytical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Collect and update GIS data on utilities.
- Conduct field collections using GPR and EMF Locating Equipment.
- Create, edit, manipulate, and query geodatabases conforming to the DoD standards schema (SDSFIE).
- Collaborate with a team responsible for delivering GIS utility data for the DoD.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, or related field or 5 years experience in underground utility collection and mapping.
- 1-2 Years' experience with GIS and/or GPS field collection of utilities.
- Valid Drivers License.
