About the Opportunity

Join the University of Cincinnati as an Associate Director, Trio Student Support Services, and play a vital role in supporting the academic success of low-income, first-generation, and students with disabilities.

This is a grant-funded position that requires a strong understanding of TRIO programs and a commitment to student development. As the Associate Director, you will oversee all aspects of the Student Support Services project, including program design and implementation, strategic planning and assessment, participant recruitment and support, staff supervision and development, budget management, grant preparation, and federal reporting requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in student affairs, social work, counseling, higher education, or a similar field, and a minimum of three years' experience in higher education administration, academic and/or counseling capacity, program design, project management, strategic planning, and evaluation at the college level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, supervise, and monitor program activities and outcomes in accordance with federal regulations and program objectives.
  • Oversee the SSS participant recruitment and selection process.
  • Provide supervision of professional, graduate and undergraduate staff.
  • Provide budget management for the program, including monitoring program budgets, budget planning, and expenditures.
  • Execute the plan of operations per the grant's guidelines.
  • Lead and consult in the application and writing process of future UCBA TRIO-SSS Program grants.
  • Maintain accurate data and documentation of all program participants and complete the Annual Performance Report (APR) to the U.S. Department of Education.
  • Advise prospective SSS participants and current SSS participants on academic strategies for success.
