Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at Zeeland Hospital. As a Medical Laboratory Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and interpret laboratory tests and procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases
- Prepare and analyze patient specimens for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes
- Conduct quality control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely test results
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest laboratory techniques and technologies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as medical technology or laboratory science
- ASCP MT or MLS, AMT MT, or AACC CT certification required
- 1 year of relevant laboratory experience preferred
