Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at Zeeland Hospital. As a Medical Laboratory Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and interpret laboratory tests and procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases
  • Prepare and analyze patient specimens for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes
  • Conduct quality control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely test results
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest laboratory techniques and technologies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as medical technology or laboratory science
  • ASCP MT or MLS, AMT MT, or AACC CT certification required
  • 1 year of relevant laboratory experience preferred
