Job Title: Systems Engineer III

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our team at Textron Systems. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for various systems engineering efforts supporting the development of complex military systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform systems engineering activities for complex electronic systems, from concept to deployment, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, project requirements, and industry standards.
  • Conduct system requirements analysis, definition, and allocation, translating customer needs into functional and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including software engineers, hardware engineers, and subject matter experts, to develop system architectures and design solutions that optimize performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Oversee system integration, verification, and validation activities to ensure compliance with functional requirements and performance objectives.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or related discipline with 5+ years of related experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communications.
  • Customer interfacing and ability to build relationships.
  • Use of Model Based Systems Engineering principles to develop SysML Models and DOORS requirement management tool preferred.
  • Ability to work in teams and independently with minimal direction.
