Job Title: Certified Ophthalmic Technician

At Retina Vitreous Associates, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our ophthalmologists in delivering high-quality eye care services.

Job Summary:

The Certified Ophthalmic Technician will be responsible for assisting ophthalmologists with patient exams, performing diagnostic tests, and maintaining accurate patient records. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join a dynamic team and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist ophthalmologists with patient exams, including dilation, refraction, and visual field testing
  • Perform diagnostic tests, such as OCT, GDX, and IOL master
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, current medications, and test results
  • Verify patient information and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced clinical environment
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; COA or COT certification preferred
  • One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with patients and staff
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to multiple work locations as needed
