Secure Wireless Communications Engineer

As a Secure Wireless Communications Engineer at Booz Allen Hamilton, you will have the opportunity to combine your technical skills with big picture thinking to make an impact in DoD Network Communications. You will understand your customer's environment and develop the right systems for their mission. Your ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications will make you an integral part of delivering a customer-focused engineering solution.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and design secure wireless networks for DoD customers
Collaborate with architects, designers, engineers, customers, and management on all aspects of wireless communications
Provide technical advice and guidance on wireless network security and configuration
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in wireless technology and signal modernization
Requirements:
Experience with static routing and virtualized environments
Experience with network and software operating systems, including VMWare, Cisco IOS, Aruba OS, or Palo Alto Networks OS
Experience in Windows Server and Windows 10 or 11
Knowledge of network security configuration expertise, including VPN, IPSec, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Certificate Authorities, Firewalls, or Active Directory
Knowledge of cross-functional basis of knowledge on Signal Modernization products, including Small Form Factor Wi-Fi and SWMRE
Knowledge of Tactical Network Configuration Items (CIs) and Architecture
Ability to use NetOps Tools, including PacStar IQ Core, Solarwinds, Splunk, or SNMPc
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience with engineering or 8+ years of experience with engineering in lieu of a degree
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience creating network diagrams using MS Visio
Experience writing test plans and providing training
Experience and knowledge with the Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) program and architecture
Ability to provide direct phone and email support to the Field Support Engineering team
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
