Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with product development, quality, manufacturing, and software teams to define and implement manufacturing test plans and product test specifications.
  • Partner with engineering teams to incorporate design for testability (DFT) feedback into product design.
  • Design and develop test stations that involve hardware and software development to support manufacturing.
  • Develop and implement GR&R and station audit plans to ensure optimal station health for manufacturing.
  • Work with manufacturing and software infrastructure teams to integrate test stations into the manufacturing process and internal test framework.
  • Proactively identify and resolve test-related issues through build cycles.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience developing electromechanical manufacturing test stations.
  • Proficient in software development, with a preference for Python and solid object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts.
  • Ability to debug from system to component level, with a strong understanding of schematics and common lab equipment.
  • Ability to analyze data to investigate test failures, assess design gaps, and demonstrate process capability and equipment reliability.
  • Expertise in communication interface protocols, including UART, USB, I2C, GPIB, and RS-232.
  • Ability to supplement engineering work with technical documentation.
Nice to Have
  • Strong CAD skills, with experience in CATIA.
  • Electrical design and PCB layout skills to interface with devices under test (DUT).
  • Signal processing and statistical background.
  • Ability to develop dashboards to visualize and communicate key metrics.
Compensation

At Skydio, we offer competitive base salaries, equity in the form of options, comprehensive benefits, and various incentives and stipends. Compensation will vary based on factors such as skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. Relocation assistance may also be provided for eligible roles.

The annual base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000. We believe that equity is key to long-term financial growth, and we ensure that all full-time employees have the opportunity to significantly benefit from the company's success.
