Job Summary

Candler County Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain the operating room and equipment for surgical procedures
  • Assist surgeons and nurses during procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to HIPAA regulations
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective patient care
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain current competency in specialty
Requirements
  • Associate Degree or two-year course in a related field or 4 years of experience as a technician
  • Basic knowledge of nursing and operating room procedures
  • Compliance with Infection Control, Standard Precautions, and OSHA standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions

The Surgical Technologist will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with exposure to patient elements, prolonged standing, and occasional lifting of 25 pounds or more. The ability to communicate effectively with various levels of people and handle emergency situations is essential.
