Job Title: Substance Use Disorders Team Lead

Carolina Outreach, a leading provider of community-based behavioral services, is seeking a full-time Licensed Substance Abuse Specialist to join our team. As a Substance Use Disorders Team Lead, you will play a critical role in providing group and individual substance abuse counseling to clients, assessing their strengths and needs, and developing and implementing treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide group and individual substance abuse counseling to clients
  • Assess client strengths and needs, and develop and implement treatment plans
  • Work with clients and families/natural supports to plan, develop, and assess treatment and ancillary services
  • Recommend and provide treatment modalities, and refer clients to external services as needed
  • Outreach to community stakeholders, review authorizations and billing information, and maintain oversight of services provided
  • Act as an advocate for clients and families/natural supports in the community
  • Develop and evaluate person-centered plans with clients and teams to ensure services are delivered and appropriate to client needs
Requirements:
  • Licensed Substance Abuse Specialist (LSAS) certification
  • Experience in substance abuse counseling and treatment planning
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices and community resources
