Sutter Health is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist II to join our team in Castro Valley, California.
Job Summary:We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Radiation Therapist II to perform routine and specialized radiation treatments in accordance with the treatment plan developed by the physician. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radiation therapy principles, procedures, and equipment, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:- Competently perform routine and specialized radiation treatments in accordance with the treatment plan developed by the physician.
- Work independently, exercising sound judgment and developed clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures to deliver accurate results in a timely manner.
- Gain confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication.
- Adhere to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care.
- May also be responsible for performing specific procedures and/or orienting other staff to the department.
- Graduation from an accredited Radiation Therapy Program.
- ARRT - Radiography - American Register of Radiologic Technologists.
- RHTT-Therapeutic Radiologic Technology by the Radiologic Health Branch.
- OR RHA-Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiologic Technology by the Radiologic Health Branch.
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider.
- 2 years recent relevant experience.
- General knowledge of radiation therapy principles, procedures, views, and equipment.
- Capable of performing routine radiation treatment and simulations.
- Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Well-developed time management and organizational skills.
This is a per diem/casual position with a variable schedule. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies and procedures.

This is a non-exempt position with a pay range of $71.18 to $92.50 per hour.
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location.
