Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Community Engagement to join our team at Discovery Village at Westchase. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and conducting lifestyle programs that provide physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual opportunities for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Plan and implement lifestyle programs that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents, including physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual activities.
  • Event Planning: Coordinate and execute special events, holidays, and celebrations that promote community engagement and resident satisfaction.
  • Volunteer Management: Recruit, develop, and supervise a team of volunteers to support our community programs and events.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain effective communication channels with residents, families, and staff to ensure seamless program execution and resident satisfaction.
  • Reporting and Evaluation: Prepare and submit regular reports on program participation, resident satisfaction, and volunteer engagement to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Provide leadership and guidance to staff members, including Recreation and Event Coordinators, to ensure successful program execution and resident satisfaction.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, requirements, and standards for skilled nursing, assisted living, and independent living communities.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate degree in Recreation, Education, Gerontology, Social Work, or Adult Education preferred.
  • Experience: Three to five years of related experience in senior living, recreation, or a related field.
  • Supervisory Experience: Two years of supervisory or management experience.
