Position Overview:
TRC is currently seeking a Senior Archaeological Project Manager to join our Environmental Sector. This role will be integral to our Planning, Permitting, and Licensing Practice in Louisiana, overseeing both large-scale and small-scale archaeological projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong dedication to client service and technical proficiency, thriving in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a variety of archaeological projects, from localized surveys to extensive multi-state initiatives.
  • Coordinate planning, logistics, and fieldwork supervision for assigned projects, while preparing detailed reports under the guidance of the Project Manager/Principal Investigator.
  • Uphold TRC's safety and quality standards, ensuring compliance among field personnel.
  • Guarantee the accuracy, organization, and high quality of all collected data and work outputs.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures while undertaking additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in anthropology or archaeology, with a minimum of two years of experience in fieldwork management and report writing.
  • Willingness to travel frequently, often with minimal notice.
  • Self-motivated and organized, with a strong focus on client service and technical excellence.
  • Commitment to safety and the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in various aspects of archaeological fieldwork, including survey, monitoring, and data recovery, along with some supervisory experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and management capabilities.
  • Basic understanding of state and federal regulations and environmental review processes.
  • Familiarity with digital field technologies such as GPS units and tablets.
