Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Cardiothoracic Surgery Unit. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced caregivers and provide patient-first healthcare in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgery, including monitoring, recording, and communicating patient conditions as appropriate.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing protocols.
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Provide teaching and educational materials to patients and their families, considering cultural and special concerns.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing with a BSN preferred.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) must be presented upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the AHA is required for Critical Care areas.
- One year of current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting is required.
