Position Overview
The primary role of this position is to deliver both theoretical and practical instruction to students enrolled in the Radiologic Technology program at Southside College of Health Sciences.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in the formulation, execution, assessment, and refinement of the educational program's mission, vision, objectives, and structural framework.
- Design and conduct instructional sessions that align with the educational program's philosophy, objectives, and curriculum.
- Create and sustain course materials to ensure effective teaching methodologies.
- Offer academic counseling, guidance, and support to students.
- Employ innovative teaching techniques and technological resources to enhance student learning experiences.
- Assess student performance in relation to curricular goals and outcomes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge in the field through ongoing professional development.
- Base teaching and evaluation methods on educational theories and curricular principles.
- Utilize feedback from students, administration, and peer evaluations to enhance personal and course instruction.
- Ensure accurate data collection and calculations for program effectiveness in accordance with accreditation standards.
- Demonstrate proficiency in using various computing systems, including Microsoft Office, Online Learning Management Systems, CampusNexus, and Smart Board technology.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration within a team environment alongside peers and healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree required.
- Licensure/Certification: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Preferred Certification: Advanced Imaging Modality (CT, MRI, M).
- Experience: A minimum of three years of full-time professional experience in diagnostic radiography is required.
- Additional Requirement: Documentation of completion of a JRCERT accredited program in radiologic technology.
- Preferred Experience: Teaching experience is preferred.
