Responsibilities
  • Manage the parts sales process from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Communicate with customers on parts status, providing timely updates and resolving any issues.
  • Collaborate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner, building strong relationships and trust.
  • Utilize the parts catalog to locate and order parts, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information to customers.
  • Review body shop estimates to ensure parts ordered are correct and pricing is in line with the estimate.
  • Provide high-level service to internal and external customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Pull and fill orders from stock, maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Conduct weekly bin checks to ensure stock accuracy and notify the parts manager of any discrepancies.
  • Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit emergency orders as needed.
  • Ensure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders.
  • Receive payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization.
  • Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with auto parts sales preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of organization and time management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules and operating instructions.
  • Basic math skills and ability to calculate figures and amounts.
  • Reynolds & Reynolds experience a plus.
  • VW, Volvo, Chrysler, and Kia parts sales experience a plus.
