**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Respiratory Therapist RRT to join our team at Northeast Georgia Health System. As a key member of our NICU team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to critically ill newborns and infants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and coordinate various treatments for respiratory problems in patients of all ages.
- Respond to emergency and critical care situations, extending therapy to those patients as needed.
- Assess patients and take the proper course of action to ensure optimal care.
- Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to provide seamless patient care.
- Consult with medical staff to execute treatment plans and make informed decisions.
- Manage ventilatory aspects of patient care, including follow-up ABG's and assessment.
- Document patient care and treatment plans accurately and efficiently.
- Participate in unit practice council and contribute to the development of clinical practice guidelines.
Requirements:
- Licensure or certification as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in the state of Georgia.
- Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care or eligible to sit for the Registry Exam.
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in respiratory care, preferably in a NICU setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Respiratory Therapy training through an accredited school.
- Successful completion of registry examination.
