Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Northeast Georgia Health System, Inc. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for administering and coordinating various treatments related to respiratory problems for patients of all ages. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide effective direct care and communicate patient care updates to ensure seamless care delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and coordinate respiratory treatments for patients of all ages, including neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
  • Document all patient interactions, treatments, and medications in the electronic medical record.
  • Manage critical care patients, including ventilator management and patient assessment.
  • Perform floor therapy modalities, including patient education and information as needed.
  • Contribute to the productive and effective operation of the department by organizing patient care and setting priorities.
Requirements
  • Licensure or certification as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of Georgia.
  • Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care or eligible to sit for the Registry Exam within 6 months of hire.
  • Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
  • One year of prior experience in a relevant position preferred.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and push/pull frequently.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
