Position Overview
As the Corporate Investigator for Security & Loss Prevention, you will be tasked with investigating alleged criminal, ethical, or other activities involving employees or non-employees across all departments.

Your role will encompass project management responsibilities for various security and loss prevention initiatives across multiple Grainger locations, including screening operations, guard force management, and physical security systems.

In collaboration with the Security and Loss Prevention Department, you will engage with representatives from Compliance, Human Resources, Legal, Finance, Internal Audit, and Fraud to ensure thorough investigations and effective security solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage diverse investigations (e.g., theft/fraud, white-collar crime, compliance/ethics, workplace violence, travel and expense, and litigation support) from inception to conclusion.
- Conduct investigations objectively, ensuring they reach logical conclusions that serve the company's best interests.
- Develop and communicate Workplace Violence safety action plans to senior leadership when necessary.
- Secure physical evidence and recover lost revenue/property, presenting findings to law enforcement for criminal prosecution.
- Obtain restitution from discharged employees and acknowledged offenders.
- Provide comprehensive analysis of information gathered during investigations and support the investigative efforts of colleagues.
- Draft investigative summaries and prepare reports on behalf of Grainger.
- Analyze security and loss data to identify trends and enhance internal processes.
- Conduct physical security assessments and offer training on Security & Loss Prevention best practices.
- Create presentation materials for leadership.
- Travel domestically across Grainger locations up to 50% of the time, with potential for short-notice travel.
- Undertake additional assignments as directed by your manager.

Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
- Over 5 years of experience in a related field.
- Professional Certification (CPP, PCI, PSP, CFI) or similar credentials.
- ATAP certification or background in threat assessments is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Cyber Security is a plus.
- Experience in Supply Chain loss prevention is beneficial.
- Familiarity with investigative techniques and processes, including due diligence, fraud, and pretext analysis.
- Completion of behavioral interview training by recognized organizations is required.
