RN - Part Time - Nights - Med/Surg - Float Team

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Part-Time Night Shift Medical Surgical Float Team member. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive care to patients by applying the nursing process in an organized and systemic manner according to hospital policy.
- Communicate proactively with the healthcare team, plan of care, changes in patient condition, patient progress, discharge plan, and other relevant information.
- Complete admission according to policy utilizing a multi-system approach for assessment and reassessment.
- Document assessment/reassessment, plan, interventions, and outcomes according to policy and interpret and utilize clinical data in the plan of care.
- Perform accurate and thorough nursing physical assessment and document thoroughly.
- Wound prevention and care
- Pressure ulcer
- Arterial and Venous stasis ulcer
- Surgical wounds
- Initiate IV therapy as per policy/procedure, taking into consideration vein condition, patient age, skin condition, patient positioning, and cognition.
- Graduate of an RN program
- Current RN Pennsylvania state license or compact license required
- Current BLS required
- ACLS required or obtained by completion of orientation if applicable to Area of Practice
- Professional certifications preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Candidate must be organized and able to lead and manage a team
- Demonstrates ability to use problem-solving, critical thinking, and priority-setting skills
- Ability to perform diversified duties with time limitations with a high degree of accuracy
- Computer skills preferred
- 1 year prior clinical experience preferred
