Job Summary:

MKS Instruments is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing Electronics & Packaging Machines and Ultra-Fast laser systems. You will provide technical support to customers, sales, and application teams, participate in customer meetings, and stay current with the latest upgrades and training of new products and software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Electronics & Packaging Machines and Ultra-Fast laser systems.
• Provide technical support to customers, sales, and application teams, and participate in customer meetings.
• Answer technical questions from customers regarding system repairs and applications.
• Stay current with the latest upgrades and training of new products and software.
• Maintain historical performance and repair information.
• Log and create field service reports.

Requirements:

• Minimum B.S. in Photonics or related fields with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with diode pump amplifier systems is a must.
• Opto-mechanical, mechanical, and automated manufacturing systems experience is a plus.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with new electrical, mechanical, and laser systems.
• Excellent communication skills are a must.
• High degree of proficiency in PC skills, including MS Office, SAP, and data analysis applications.

Physical Demands:

• Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary Pay Range: $66,123.80 per year.
• This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS.
