Work Schedule: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:- Facilitate the preparation and execution of requisitions and purchase orders for necessary materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Maintain comprehensive records of ordered and received goods.
- Ensure the accuracy of material inventory and locations by conducting cycle counts as required.
- Oversee the receipt of products against purchase orders, confirming proper quantity and quality.
- Manage product returns in accordance with established policies.
- Assess and determine appropriate Min/Max levels for stocked items.
- Verify that items are correctly labeled with barcodes, rotate stock to prevent expiration, and perform regular expiration checks.
- Prepare items for sterilization processes.
- Clean, package, sterilize, and distribute medical instruments.
- Regularly clean and stock procedure rooms as necessary.
- Adhere to applicable laws and regulations in all activities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- Relevant work experience and skills are essential.
- A minimum of six months of experience in Central Supply is required.
- Sterile Processing Certification is preferred.
Knowledge:
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Understanding of materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for optimizing the purchase and distribution of goods.
- Knowledge of healthcare planning and management principles to effectively manage purchasing operations.
Skills:
- Ability to analyze situations accurately and take effective action.
- Capability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and external partners.
- Strong organizational skills to achieve goals and objectives.
- Judgment and discretion in interpreting and applying departmental policies.
Abilities:
- Ability to assume responsibility and exercise authority over assigned tasks.
- Establish and uphold quality control standards.
- Organize and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Communicate proficiently in both oral and written forms.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
Involves work in storage areas and receiving docks across multiple clinic locations.
Mental/Physical Requirements:Must be capable of remaining on feet for the entire shift, including walking, pulling, pushing, twisting, lifting, and navigating stairs while carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds.
