As an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in this role, you will operate autonomously while closely collaborating with a Neurotologist in a busy otology/neurotology surgical specialty clinic. Your responsibilities will encompass delivering medical care to intricate ENT patients, which includes:
- Assessment and Management: Formulating independent treatment strategies, suggesting surgical interventions, and overseeing postoperative recovery.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Engaging with a diverse team comprising a Neurotologist, an Otology Fellow, Residents, Audiologists, and additional personnel to guarantee cohesive and effective patient care.
- Technical Proficiency: Achieving expertise in various procedures such as ear cleanings utilizing microscopy, foreign body extraction from the nose or ear, and other pertinent techniques.
- Diagnostic Evaluation: Analyzing and interpreting diagnostic assessments including audiograms, X-rays, and CT scans.
- Patient Guidance: Educating and advising patients on hearing and balance health, adhering to established protocols and directives from licensed physicians.
- Autonomous Patient Care: Deliver and manage patient care independently while integrating feedback and collaboration from the Neurotologist.
- Procedure Execution: Master and perform specialized in-office procedures pertinent to otology.
- Diagnostic Interpretation: Precisely interpret diagnostic findings and incorporate them into patient care strategies.
- Patient Engagement: Inform patients about their conditions and treatment alternatives, ensuring they comprehend and follow their care plans.
- Teamwork: Collaborate effectively within a team to ensure comprehensive patient care and enhance outcomes.
- Clinical Proficiency: Advanced clinical skills in otology and neurotology, with expertise in relevant procedures and diagnostics.
- Effective Communication: Strong communication abilities for patient education and team collaboration.
- Analytical Thinking: Capability to make independent decisions and formulate treatment plans based on complex cases.
- Flexibility: Ability to excel in a dynamic and high-volume clinical environment.
