Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough physical exams, assess patient health status, and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and provide routine medical care.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on preventive health care and disease management.
  • Document patient information and care in medical records, maintaining accurate and confidential records.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and successful completion of an accredited physician assistant program.
  • Four years of healthcare experience prior to applying to PA program, plus one year of experience as a PA, preferably in a clinic setting.
  • National certification from the National Commission on Certification of PAs.
  • State PA license and current CPR certification.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong knowledge of medical models, anatomy, pharmacology, pathophysiology, clinical medicine, and physical diagnosis.
  • Excellent patient assessment and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Work Environment:
