Job Overview:
The Radiation Therapy Department Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Radiation Therapy unit. This role includes managing staff activities, ensuring the effective use of treatment technology, and maintaining high standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the workflow and schedules of the Radiation Therapy team.
- Supervise the operation of treatment machinery and assess the quality of imaging results.
- Provide technical guidance and training on new procedures and safety protocols.
- Monitor compliance with radiation safety regulations and implement necessary measures.
- Assist in budget management and procurement of departmental supplies and equipment.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess a valid Radiation Therapy Technologist registration, current CPR certification, and relevant state or national licensure. A comprehensive educational background covering all patient demographics, alongside managerial training, is essential. A minimum of five years of clinical experience in radiation therapy, with at least two years in a supervisory capacity, is required.
