Transportation Graduate Engineer

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Transportation Graduate Engineer to join our team in Appleton, WI. As a key member of our multidisciplinary design team, you will have the opportunity to shape local and regional infrastructure within the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work as a key member of a roadway design team under the direction of a Project Engineer/Project Manager.
  • Conduct research and evaluation of data, conduct field reviews and other assessments, prepare detailed engineering calculations, and assist with the creation and submission of technical reports, presentations, and exhibits.
  • Prepare detailed construction drawings, including horizontal and vertical alignments, plan and profile, utility design and relocation, streetscape and roadway improvements, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, signing, striping, and signalization.
  • Prepare construction cost estimates/quantity takeoffs, coordinate with internal team members, government entities, utility service providers, and subconsultants, manage task assignments for budget and schedule adherence, and perform reviews of all work product for accuracy.
Requirements:
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  • BS in Civil Engineering.
  • EIT certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
